First off, Place Vendome in Paris. Fancy, right? Apparently, that’s where they hang out, right across from Chaumet. (Who even *is* Chaumet? Just kidding, I’m sure they’re important.) But being in that area, it’s like, you’re already breathing in the luxury air, you know? It *has* to rub off.
And get this, it all started with a marriage! Alfred Van Cleef and Estelle Arpels, back in 1895. I mean, talk about starting your business on a solid foundation! Imagine arguing about finances at the dinner table AND discussing the latest jewelry designs. Talk about pressure. But it clearly worked out for them, huh?
Now, the big question: Is it *worth* it? Listen, if you’re asking *me*, and you have the moolah, then yeah, duh! It’s gorgeous stuff! I mean, the Alhambra bracelet? Classic! But like, is it *actually* worth thousands? Depends on your bank account, I guess. I have no idea why they can charge so much, but I do know that they do have some beautiful pieces.
I saw something about a Lucky Spring series. Apparently, it’s mostly rose gold. If you’re not a fan of rose gold, then maybe skip it. But honestly, who doesn’t like rose gold? It’s so pretty and soft. Anyway, the Alhambra comes in other colors, like white gold and yellow gold, so you have options. Which is good, because, you know, options are always good.
Honestly, there are SO many Van Cleef necklaces. Like, 15 best? Who even decides that? The fact that someone even compiled that list shows how big of a deal this brand is. It’s a must-have for some people, apparently.
And don’t even get me STARTED on the Ladybug bracelets! Oh my gosh, I saw a Lady Arpels Jour Enchanté bracelet once and I almost cried. So beautiful! I don’t know what the difference is between that and the Lady Jour Nuit, but I’m sure they’re both ridiculously expensive and gorgeous.
