Honestly, the whole “EU Stock” thing? I kinda glaze over it. Does it *really* matter where it was sitting before I slap it around my waist? Probably not. Anyway, I’ve been scrolling through stuff online – Mytheresa keeps popping up, which, okay, they have *everything* – and it’s all about the 4G buckle, the G Chain, the Voyou leather belt… It’s a freakin’ alphabet soup of belt buckles! And leather types! Tumbled leather? Sounds like something you’d find in a dryer, not wrapped around my jeans.
The 4G thing? I get it. It’s branding. It screams “I spent a lot of money on this,” which, sometimes, is the whole point, isn’t it? But the G Chain… hmmm… I’m on the fence. It looks a little… *much*. Like, trying-too-hard kinda thing. But maybe I’m just jealous ’cause I don’t have the confidence to pull it off. (Probably.)
And then there’s the reversible thing! Reversible belts! Genius, right? Black on one side, maybe brown on the other. Two belts for the price of… well, one *really* expensive belt. But still! Options! I’m all about the options. You know, gotta match my shoes…or not! Who cares, really? Wear what you want!
Lyst.com has “39 items on sale from £154” – that’s a *lot* of money for a belt! Especially when you can buy, like, a perfectly functional belt at Target for, like, ten bucks. But then again, it’s not Givenchy, is it? It’s not gonna give you that *je ne sais quoi*. (Sorry, had to throw in some French. Feels appropriate for a Givenchy conversation.)
