I always approach those with a healthy dose of skepticism. “Almost identical” usually translates to “looks vaguely similar from twenty feet away in dim lighting.” Let’s be real. And then there are the reps. You know, the “replicas.” I saw someone talking about “LV Trainer best quality 10/10 best seller! 41€” and “Yeezy Slides best quality 10/10 trusted seller! 14€.” Like, seriously? 41 euros for LV trainers? Sounds almost too good to be true. Probably *is* too good to be true, tbh. But the temptation is REAL. I mean, if you’re gonna go the rep route, at least find a place that’s got decent reviews, ya know? I saw one called repsGod.com… maybe they’re good? I’m not saying buy reps! Just… mentioning it. For research purposes. *cough*
The thing is, with LV, or any luxury brand really, you kind of get what you pay for. The real deal is expensive, yes, but the quality is usually insane. Like, that Capucines bag? Probably gonna last you longer than your current relationship. The dupes? Maybe a season or two if you’re lucky.
