I mean, you can find ’em everywhere, kinda. I saw some stuff mentioned about belts on sale, eBay, and even second-hand shops like Vestiaire Collective. It’s like, a treasure hunt! And that’s kinda the fun of vintage, isn’t it? You gotta dig a little! I kinda feel like I’m a detective, y’know? Lol.
And the leather! Oh my GOD the leather. That worn-in, perfectly imperfect patina. You just don’t get that with new stuff, ya know? Plus, that red leather and gold-tone hardware combo? Chef’s kiss. I saw some of that mentioned, and I gotta say I’m drooling, like, literally drooling. It’s giving old money aesthetic, but like, edgy.
And then there’s the whole Anagram thing. Like, the logo. It’s subtly bougie, which is *exactly* what you want. It’s not screaming “LOOK AT ME I’M EXPENSIVE,” it’s more of a “Oh, this old thing? Just a lil’ LOEWE, no big deal.” That’s what I like anyway, i’m not too into the obvious stuff.
Speaking of which, the buckles are manufactured in Spain – stamped on, even! It’s the little details, y’all. Little details make all the difference, I swear, and Loewe seem to put effort into that.
Now, I saw something about LOEWE expanding globally since the 60s… which, okay, cool. But honestly, who cares about the business side? I just want the belt, LOL. But I guess it’s kinda interesting to know it’s got history. Like, a belt that’s traveled the world (maybe!).
But seriously, finding an authentic pre-owned LOEWE belt? It’s a win. A major win. It’s sustainable fashion, it’s cool, it’s unique… and it’s probably cheaper than buying new, which is always a bonus, right? I mean, I’d rather spend my money on, like, coffee and avocado toast, instead of a brand new belt that’s gonna get scuffed up anyway. I’m trying to be more of a ‘thrifty’ person.
