First off, I’m seeing a LOT of ads popping up when I search for “Zumi.” And like, half of them are confusing! I mean, seriously, I’m getting *Brazilian* websites showing me Zumi bikes? What’s that about? Americanas and Magalu are apparently big into Zumi bikes…who knew?
Anyway, it seems like the “Zumi” brand is kinda scattered. We’ve got “Zumi” *eBikes* from Zenni Optical (Canada!), which apparently you can finance with 0% interest (sweet deal, if you’re in Canada, I guess). Then we have… well, I’m guessing there are other Zumi bikes, based on the other ads, but it’s not so clear…
Then there’s the “Zummi” brand thing going on. Netshoes seems to be pushing “Zummi” *kids* bikes, with free shipping and installment plans. Okay, so maybe there’s a Zumi and a Zummi? Or maybe it’s just a typo that everyone’s running with? My head hurts already.
And THEN we have a listing for a “Bagageiro Garupa Bicicleta Aro 24 26 Aço Tubo Grosso Mtb Prata Escuro – Zummi.” Which, translated (roughly), is a back rack for a Zummi bike. So, accessories exist!
So, what’s the *cheapest* Zumi? Honestly, it’s kinda impossible to say without knowing *exactly* what you’re looking for. A Zumi eBike from Zenni Optical? Probably not cheap. A Zummi kids bike from Netshoes? Maybe a little more doable. That rack? Definitely the cheapest thing I’ve seen so far.
My *guess* (and I’m totally pulling this out of my butt) is that the Zumi-with-an-i (the eBike) is the higher-end version and the Zummi-with-two-ms (the kids bike) is the budget option. But that’s just a hunch.
Here’s my advice: Be SUPER specific in your search. Like, “Zummi kids bike 20 inch wheel” or “Zumi eBike Canada financing.” And don’t be afraid to dig around on local classifieds or Facebook Marketplace. You might find a used one for a steal. Oh and remember to check out The Warehouse NZ, they may have some good deals from time to time.
