Anyway, you got Valentino Garavani doing the whole shebang, which, let’s be real, automatically means it’s gonna be, like, DRAMATIC. Think big, think bold, think… well, Valentino. I saw something about “exquisite Valentino shawls with styles ranging from the playful,” and okay, shawls aren’t jewelry, but it gives you the vibe, ya know? Playful… but also probably costs more than my rent.
Nordstrom’s got ’em, Mytheresa’s got ’em, Saks is throwin’ down free shipping and returns (always a win!), and even SSENSE is getting in on the action with the SS25 collection (whatever that even means, probably super expensive future-jewelry). Basically, Valentino jewelry is EVERYWHERE if you’re willing to shell out the dough.
And then there’s the whole “designer” thing. Like, duh, it’s Valentino. But it kind of makes you wonder, what *makes* it designer, besides the brand name and the, uh, *ahem*, hefty price tag? Is it the craftsmanship? The materials? The fact that it’s going to look incredible with that little black dress you’ve been dying to wear? I dunno. Maybe all of the above?
My personal opinion? I’m kinda on the fence. Some of it probably looks AMAZING. And, like, who am I to diss Valentino? But a part of me thinks, “could I get something just as cool, maybe not with the name, for a fraction of the price?” Probably. But then again, it wouldn’t be VALENTINO, would it?
