Anyway, I’ve been scouring the internet, reading forums (those perfume forum peeps are seriously dedicated!), and even sniffing around in discount fragrance stores, all in the name of finding a Lady Vengeance stand-in.
Let’s be honest, finding an *exact* dupe is like finding a unicorn riding a skateboard. It rarely happens. But there are definitely perfumes out there that capture the *vibe*. Like, the “confidence and bold elegance” vibe, as one of those snippets above puts it. I saw some mentioned stuff about Juliette Has a Gun, which is a brand I’ve always been kinda curious about.
The problem is, “dupe” can mean different things to different people. Some people want a carbon copy, other people just want something in the same ballpark. I tend to be more in the latter camp. If it makes me feel that same *way* Lady Vengeance does, I’m good.
Speaking of Juliette Has a Gun, and this is just my personal opinion, their “Not A Perfume” is…well, it’s not a Lady Vengeance dupe, that’s for sure. It’s a completely different animal. It’s kinda a “your skin but better” scent. Interesting, yes, but not scratching that floral-vengeance itch.
And then there’s the whole “Eclat Liste 2025” thing from that snippet. I’m not even sure what that is, LOL. But it mentions some pricey alternatives to something? See, this is where it gets tricky. You want something *cheaper*, not something *more* expensive!
I think the key is to look for something with a similar rose-patchouli combo. Lady Vengeance is all about that deep, dark rose with a slightly earthy edge. Maybe even look for something with a touch of vanilla or amber in the base to give it that warm, sensual feel.
Honestly, it’s a process of trial and error. Don’t be afraid to buy some cheap samples online. And don’t be afraid to be disappointed! It happens. Perfume is SO subjective. What smells amazing on one person might smell like grandma’s attic on another. (No offense to grandmas! Some of them smell amazing too!).
