So, alright, I’ve been digging around (thanks, internet rabbit holes!), and it seems there are actually *two* CELINEs causing confusion. Like, seriously, why two? Did they not talk to each other?
First, we got Vessel CELINE (IMO 9789233), which is apparently a Ro-Ro Cargo ship, all fancy and built in 2017, repping the Malta flag. Think, car carriers and big, bulky stuff. Kinda boring, tbh. But hey, someone’s gotta ship the stuff, right?
Then there’s *MSC* CELINE (IMO 9316361), this one a container ship, registered in Panama, and chillin’ in the Gulf of Mexico last I checked. Last seen headed towards Progreso, Mexico, doing a cool 13.8 knots. (Which, for those of us who aren’t nautical experts, is…pretty fast?). It’s like, you ordered something off the internet, this bad boy might be the reason it’s takin’ so long. (Grr, Amazon Prime lied to me *again*).
Now, here’s where it gets messy (just like my apartment, tbh). The Reddit post mentioned Vessel CELINE, but then the “Canada Onhand Live Selling” thing mentioned *MSC* CELINE’s location…like, whaaat? Are they related? Are they having a shipping-CELINE-off? Who knows! I bet they’re not even aware of each other.
And then! The “SHOPPING” snippet! “Orders ship within 2-3 business days… unless otherwise noted.” Okay, so, basically, you’re screwed if you need it tomorrow. Shipping is a black hole, I swear. It’s like your package is teleported to another dimension, and nobody knows when (or *if*) it’ll come back.
Oh, and there’s some sunglasses thing thrown in there too? “TRIOMPHE METAL 01 SUNGLASSES IN METAL” What does that even have to do with shipping? Maybe they’re being shipped on one of the CELINEs? Maybe I’m overthinking it. Probably.
So, yeah, “Local Shipping CELINE”… It’s complicated. It’s confusing. And it probably involves waiting longer than you’d like for that thing you ordered online. But hey, at least there are two ships out there with the same-ish name, right? Think of the possibilities for mix-ups! I’d pay to see that happen.
