Hubert de Givenchy (1927 – 2018) started his fashion career in 1945 with Lucien Lelong. He also trained with Robert Piguet, Jacques Fath, and Schiaparelli before he opened his own house in 1952. He was only 25 years old. Givenchy was a .

Top Grade GIVENCHY Scarf: Is It Worth the Hype (and the Price Tag)?

So, Givenchy scarves, huh? We’re talking serious designer territory. I mean, just *saying* the name makes you feel a little fancier, right? But like, are they *actually* worth all the moolah they cost? That’s the real question.

I’ve been digging around online (you know, research and stuff), and it seems like Givenchy’s scarf game is pretty diverse. They’ve got everything from those cute little neckerchief things – perfect for adding a touch of “I’m effortlessly chic” to your outfit – to bigger, more substantial wool ones that look like they’d actually keep you warm. (Important, because fashion is great, but hypothermia isn’t.)

And then there’s the silk scarves. Ooh la la. Silk Givenchy. Now we’re talking. I saw one described as a “Givenchy silk scarf. Mulher. Mulher Mulher Homem Homem Kids Kids” which I’m honestly not entirely sure what that means but the “Mulher” part makes me think of fancy European ladies and that’s good enough for me. I’m assuming it’s just some weird keyword stuff for the search engine bots, but hey, it adds to the mystique, right?

You can even find the logo ones on GOAT, which, I gotta say, is a weird place to buy designer scarves, but whatever floats your boat. Personally, I’m not a HUGE fan of blatant logos. Like, I get it, you have money. Do you *really* need to scream it from your neck? But I guess some people dig it. To each their own, ya know?

Saks also sells them apparently, because of course they do. Free shipping and returns is a nice perk, though. Especially if you’re buying online and you’re not 100% sure about the color or the feel of the fabric.

Then there’s the history thing. Apparently, Hubert de Givenchy himself was a pretty big deal, starting out with some seriously impressive fashion names before launching his own house super young. That’s kinda cool. Makes you feel like you’re buying into a legacy or something, which I guess is part of what you’re paying for.

But here’s the thing. Are these scarves *actually* better than, say, a really nice cashmere scarf from a less-hyped brand? Honestly? Maybe. Maybe not. The quality is probably amazing. But a lot of the price tag is definitely paying for the name. Like, you’re buying into the “Givenchy” brand.

Ultimately, whether or not a Top Grade Givenchy Scarf is worth it is totally up to you. If you’ve got the cash and you really, REALLY love the design and the feel and the whole “designer” experience, then go for it! Treat yo’self! But if you’re on a budget, or you’re just not that into the whole designer label thing, there are definitely other beautiful, high-quality scarves out there that won’t break the bank.
